Crafty Friday: Toad Alley Ring and Frog Prince Necklace by Heidi Daus

I have shared Heidi Daus jewelry in the past--she most famously did a collection for Snow White and the Huntsman for HSN a few years ago. I came across this ring and wanted to share it here. It, too, is available though HSN

Colorful and very Frog Prince and would drive me nuts to wear on my hand, but it is pretty to look at!

Daus is rather known for her insects and animal themes. She likes the Frog Prince especially when it comes to fairy tales and has many variations of her Frog Prince Necklace, one of the more recent iterations is shown below:

N2 by Les Néréides Glass Slipper Cinderella Jewelry

N2 by Les Néréides GLASS SLIPPER CINDERELLA LONG NECKLACE - BLUE, WHITE, GOLD

Over two years ago I shared Peau du Bete by Les Néréides N2 and back in 2009 I shared Little Red Riding Hood Jewelry. I found those in Paris during various trips. I am happy to say that Les Néréides is now more readily available in the U.S. with its own site. The lines in the U.S. are different from what are available in Europe. Right now, the U.S. site is offering the Glass Slipper Cinderella line. I am sharing fourteen pieces here. There are fun and kitschy, no doubt about it. But the designs are so clever. I like the horse transformation loops and the Cinderella who is NOT Disney.

I've planned to share these for several weeks and then found them on Amazon which made getting images and links much faster so here's the post finally. Do click through to see them larger and see the details.

Jesa Marshall's Firebird Jewelry Line

Vaslav

SurLaLune reader Christina shared in her entry for the SurLaLune Fairy Tales Giveaway that her holiday fairy tale wishlist item is Jesa Marshall's "Vaslav" necklace. What is that, I wondered. So I went looking and discovered a line of Firebird inspired jewelry by artist Jesa Marshall. Do follow the link to see more--I just picked some of my favorites to share with you here, including Christina's Vaslav.

About Jesa Marshall:

Inspired by dark fairytales, nature and storytelling Jesa combines precious metals and gemstones with tiny sculptures of Crows, hares, moths and other creatures to create her internationally popular ‘Enchanted’ Collection. Twisted rose vines, gnarly trees and a touch of darkness come together to create a captivatingly original collection of jewellery.

At International Jewellery London, 2012 Jesa launched 'Firebird'. Inspired by a picture book celebrating 100 years of Stravinsky's 'Firebird' and re-telling a version of the original Russian Fairytale, 'Firebird' is a dark but beautiful world of wolves, wild woodlands, and of course, the fantastically elegant firebird.
