One section that really caught my attention was how fairy tales relate so much to fashion. I never really put much thought into how much fairy tales have influenced fashion, not only for children but for adults too. Many children will see a princess in a fairy tale and want to imitate her personality by either dressing up as a princess or simply being called one. That makes me question what kind of influences these children are really getting from the media fairy tales portray. Heidi states in one of her interview questions, “Designers enjoy the romance and want to appeal to their audience of course, which means using popular trends for inspiration.” This is another part of fairy tale culture that I never really thought about, because romance and feminism plays an important part in fashionAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
